JOHN GOULD
As a lifelong resident of Stratford, Ontario, John Gould graduated from the University of Waterloo Fine Arts and immersed himself in the art world of Canada's premier arts community. An artist for more than twenty years, creative in both watercolour and oil paint, he captures the essence of Perth and Oxford Counties, the Bruce Peninsula and Beaver Valley where his father homesteaded. He has been a frequent contributor to juried exhibtions such as the University of Waterloo Annual Juried Show and the Canadian Opera Watercolour Show at the Hummingbird Centre, Toronto. He has won numerous awards at the Lawson Killer Art Exhibition for Huron-Perth Regions with his charming depictions of familiar landscape scenes and crisp still life watercolour paintings. Visitors to our city have made the annual John Gould Show of Recent Works an essential destination.
